THE CELL PHONE : The Cell Phone(CP) also known as mobile phone/mobile/cell/hand phone/wireless phone etc is defined as a mobile electronic device which is used in voice/data communication within a specific geographical network area known as CELL,which are interconnected to increase coverage area to a very long distance. CP is basically a sophisticated Radio which emits micro/radio waves which are known as RADIOFREQUENCY RADIATION(RFR) which is a part of the spectrum of Electromagnetic Waves.Microwaves are a subset of Radiowaves with the wavelength between 3mm to 30 cms.The strength of RFR is inversely proportional to the square of distance from the source. The key word is ‘DISTANCE’. In contrast to CP, other devices like Radio/TV/Microwave-oven are not held close to the body and hence their RFR exposure is much less than CP. There is a worldwide epidemic of CP with 4 billion users by the end of the year 2008,and 25000 new […]
THE FOOD : The health of a human being is dependent on his nutrition which is dependent on his diet(Food). The healthy diet is defined as a diet which maintains/improves the health and prevents disease. The diet choice is dependent on family tradition, eating habits, religion, culture, food availability, food taste,socio-economic factors, nutritional value, animal love, doctor’s advice, etc. Vegetarianism is defined as a practice/habit of diet which avoids/prohibits eating meat/poultry/fish etc.(no flesh). Non-vegetarianism means eating food from animal sources plus plant sources.Even plants have life like animals albeit with lesser consciousness than animals and therefore the issue is not cruelty on animals as far as meat eating is concerned.WHO has classified milk as vegetarian.I believe that eggs are vegetarian because there is no flesh in it.Pure Vegans avoid all animal products including dairy products, eggs, honey etc.Generally speaking, vegetarian diet means eating cereals,pulses,fruits,vegetables,nuts,milk/yogurt etc. 2.8 % Americans and 11 % Britons are vegetarians.30 % Indians are vegetarians which constitute 70 % of […]
THE RAPE : Rape is defined as a heinous crime in which an unwanted sexual intercourse/penetration is forced/coerced upon a victim without the wish/consent of the victim by an offender who could be a person known to the victim or a stranger. It is a crime even if the offender is a husband and it is a crime even if the victim did not offer resistance and it is a crime even if the victim was unconscious or conscious but under the influence of alcohol/drugs/threat/blackmail. _ Anybody can be raped including men, women, children and elderly. 91% of all rapes are committed on girls/women which will be discussed by me. Even animals like ducks/geese show rape like behavior. What the world knows is a tip of the iceberg because of the reluctance to talk on this issue and misconceptions about the rape.Rape of a woman existed in human history for thousands of years […]
THE ENERGY Energy is defined as a capacity/ability to do the work and it is measured in Joules. Power is defined as the rate at which the work is done which means work divided by time and it is measured in Watts. 1 watt= 1 joule per second. 1 Giga-joule(GJ)= 1 billion joules 1 Exa-joule(EJ)= 1 billion GJ. 31.7 watts= 1 GJ per year. 1 kilo-calorie= 4.2 kilo-joules. 1 kilo calorie is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 kg of water by 1 degree celsius. Calorie is the unit of energy in nutrition. Human being needs 2000 kilo calories of energy through food for all activities per day which is equivalent to 90 watt light bulb. Energy makes change and does things for us.Energy lights homes, cooks food, runs car/fan/AC/heater/machines/TV etc.We will go back to stone age if there is no energy. First industrial revolution was […]
THE WATER : Water is defined as a ubiquitous chemical substance having 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen atoms bonded to form a molecule H2O, also known as hydrogen oxide.Deuterium is an isotope of hydrogen which combines with oxygen to form heavy water(D2O). Water is essential for survival of life as well as essential for economy, industry, ecology, climate cycle and agriculture. 60 % of human body and 80 % of human brain is water.Adult human needs 2 to 3 liters of water daily for drinking and a human can not survive for more than few days without drinking water.75 % of all people in the world are chronically dehydrated leading to day-time fatigue, cancer risk, poor mental ability and body pains.Minimum water requirement per person per day is 50 liters for drinking, bathing, cooking and sanitation.America/Canada uses 2 to 8 times more water per person than most developing nations.Civilisations have developed around water sources/rivers. Water refers to […]
