HUMAN STEM CELL RESEARCH AND THERAPY AND ALSO HUMAN CLONING :
Today,I will discuss the very interesting and fascinating topic and scientific achievement,namely,human stem cell research and therapy along with human cloning.
The intention is to take on various world leaders and religious leaders who have been misleading the people of the world on this subject either due to their ignorance or arrogance or false dogmas.
The stem cells have a remarkable potential to differentiate into various specific cell types in the body to serve as a repair system for the body and to replenish other cell types.The stem cells have 2 basic features namely self-renewal indefinitely and differentiation into specific cell type.The stem cell are of 2 types namely Embryonic Stem Cell(ESC) and Adult Stem Cell(ASC).The ESC can differentiate into 220 specific cell types like heart cell,blood cell,bone cell etc etc.
The stem cell therapy is useful to treat various diseases like parkinsons disease,alzheimers disease,spinal cord injury,stroke,burns,heart disease,diabetes,multiple sclerosis,rheumatoid arthritis,osteoarthritis,cancer,etc etc..
American lawmaker have already passed a bill enlarging the financial support to stem cell research but that bill was vetoed by president George w Bush. WHY ???
Bush says that public money should not be used to destroy human life as ESC requires the use of a human embryo and that according to Bush is equivalent to a human life.A high moral ground taken by a leader with double standards.
Point 1)
War in iraq took lives of thousands of innocent iraqi civilians who had nothing to do with the Saddam-Regime or Al-Queda.Who paid for this?The american people.Bush used more than 350 billion dollars of public money to kill thousands of innocent iraqi civilians;all in the name of war on terror.So,for a good cause,you use public money to take innocent lives.However,if somebody uses ESC to save a human life,you oppose it.
Point 2)
What is life anyway?Why do you differentiate between human and animal life?Bush eats chickens,meat and fish;all of these contain life.Why kill animals to satisfy your hunger?Scientifically,any molecule of DNA or RNA which can reproduce itself is life.Every bacteria has a life.Why do you take antibiotics to kill millions of bacteria?
You are taking other lives to save yourself.You are eating other lives to live in this world.But,you don’t want to save human life by using ESC.
Point 3)
Everyday thousands of abortions are performed in the world but you don’t want to do anything about it because it is a woman’s right and you cannot win an election without the support of women.Abortions are acceptable but use of ESC is not acceptable.
Point 4)
There are thousands of IVF clinics in the world and everyday,thousands of unwanted embryos are discarded by them which will die eventually and the same embryos can be used to extract ESC to save a human life.
From above 4 points,I have proved that Bush is wrong.
Science is the greatest gift of God to the mankind.
Science and scientists are not bad but the politicians who abuse and misuse science to satisfy their electoral vote-banks are bad.Stem cell therapy is advancement of science to save a human life and anybody who is oppossed to it is against God.
I FULLY SUPPORT STEM CELL RESEARCH AND THERAPY TO SAVE HUMAN LIFE.
Human cloning is the creation of a genetically identical copy of a human being,human cell or human tissue.Therapeutic cloning is useful for treatment of various diseases like cancer,heart disease,diabetes etc.
Reproductive cloning is useful for the infertile couple to have a child with their own DNA.
In the year 2005,the United Nations passed a non-binding resolution to ban cloning in the world.I condemn UN for passing a retrograde and stupid resolution of banning human cloning.Human cloning is a scientific achievement which will help treatment of various diseases and give a hope of a child to the childless couple.
Adoption is not a solution to the infertile couple.
Look at my life.My biological parents died long time ago and so many big people had adopted me. All of them deserted me and didnot help me in my difficult days.Human cloning should be allowed for the childless couple to have a child.Human cloning is biological while adoption is artificial.
The united nations took no steps against india for consistently violating my human rights but the same UN is concerned about moral and ethical aspects of human cloning.
I FULLLY SUPPORT HUMAN CLONING AS A SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENT,TO GIVE A HOPE TO THE CHILDLESS COUPLES AND TO TREAT VARIOUS MEDICAL DISEASES.
