ISLAM AND MATHEMATICS :
I wish a happy,peaceful and prosperous new year 2010 to all the people of the world irrespective of their race,religion,caste,language,region,nationality and economic status.
Today,I will discuss a topic which nobody ever imagined to think,namely, the Islam and the Mathematics.Islam is a great religion and anybody who practices Islam is a muslim.
There are 5 pillars of Islam.That means there are 5 religious duties of every muslim which he/she must fulfill.
Pillar 1)
All muslims must accept that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger(prophet).
Pillar 2)
All muslims must pray Allah 5 times in a day at fixed time.
Pillar 3)
All muslims must practice charity by giving a fixed portion of their wealth to the poor.
Pillar 4)
All muslims must fast during the holy month of Ramadan barring few exceptions.
Pillar 5)
All able-bodied muslims must perform Hajj, at least once in their life-time except those who cannot afford it.The Hajj is a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in the kingdom of saudi arabia(KSA).
I will apply mathematics to the 5’th pillar of Islam,namely,Hajj.
I will apply the mathematical rule of the half.
The total population of muslims in the world is about 1.6 billion(1600 millions).
Half of them are too young or too old to travel to Mecca.
That means 800 million muslims are eligible for the Hajj.
Half of them are too poor to travel to Mecca.
That means about 400 million muslims are duty-bound to perform the Hajj.
Here comes the mathematical catch for Islam.
Last year,KSA could make arrangement for 3 million muslims to perform the Hajj.Even if you consider 4 million figure;then; it will take 100 years for 400 million muslim to perform the Hajj,provided they all live that long and provided no new muslim is born in the world for 100 years.
It is impossible.
The population of muslims is so large and expanding so rapidly that it is impossible for all eligible muslims to perform the Hajj and therefore the 5’th pillar of the Islam cannot be applied in practice.
As an abandoned-adopted child of the jordanian royal family;I am a muslim.However; adoption in Islam is different from rest of the world.As per Islam,the adopted child must bear the name of his biological parents and also,the adopted child doesnot have a right of inheritance just like a biological child.I feel that it is unfair to the adopted child.
Once you adopt a child,there should be no social,legal or religious discrimination between the adopted child and the biological child.
What does Fatwa means Islam ?
Fatwa is a religious opinion about the Islamic laws issued by the Islamic religious scholar which is non-binding. I had issued a Fatwa to protect the chastity of an indian movie star Priyanka chopra from her co-star.It was my mistake because the same woman was found in the company of the same co-star at various parties and various TV shows,voluntarily.I therefore apologise to 1.6 billion muslims for issuing a wrong fatwa.I also believe that many of the fatwas issued in the world are wrong.
What does JIHAD means in Islam ?
It is a religious duty of every muslim to strive and struggle in the way of ALLAH aimed at protection of muslims,prevention of their victimisation and a holy war against non-believers who are bent on destroying muslims.Jihad doesnot mean killing innocent non-muslims.
ALL TERRORISTS USE THE WORD JIHAD FOR KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE BY QUOTING THE HOLY QURAN; WHICH MUST BE CONDEMNED BY ALL MUSLIMS ALL OVER THE WORLD.
The Holy Quran does not preach killing innocent people; no matter whether they are muslims or non-muslims.
Any religious person is free to defend in any suitable way if he is forced to accept any other religion.So a muslim can fight a holy war Jihad against non-believers if they are forcing him to accept any other faith.The same is true for any other christian or hindu or a jew.
THE MORAL OF THE STORY :
1) The Islam must evolve with time to suit the needs of the people.
2)The religious duties of a muslim need to be modified as per the circumstances of the 21’st century.
3)The words like Jihad and Fatwa and Adoption need to be re-defined and re-addressed to help the humanity rather than to harass innocent people.
